Many people say that russian is very hard to learn but it's practical!
You can use russian in every state of the former USSR, and that are alone 16!!
You can also use it in Bulgaria, in Czech Republic, Poland, Slovenia (Valentina correct me if I'm wrong!) and in East Germany ;)

Julia, don`t listen to themit's grat that u can speak russian,many times my friends & my family make jokes on me cause i use usually russian words,like spacibo,da,privet etc but i don`t listen to them cause i love russian language =)

@ Nadia: Yes, I speak russian fluently. Once I talked with a woman on a airport in russian and she thought that I'm a native speaker

it's quite hard i think but this summer after exams i'm going to concentrate really hard on it!

I don't know whether it's hard or not to learn, because I've heard it in my childhood all the time. But the people I ask about russian say it's really hard. But good that you want to learn it :)

i've been learning since last june and i really enjoy it. it's better to learn a language when you're younger because then it is more natural to you

If you visit Moscow sometimes then russian will really help you! If you want to buy something it's better to know russian, then are the prizes cheaper! That said the girlfriend of my brother (she's from Russia)

o thanks for the advice yulia! I am learning it too, I really like it too and @ ybet my parents also always make fun of me. because I listen to dima and chelsi all the time =D and when I talk in russian, they laugh and stuff=( but I don't care what they think because I like it a lot!
