I dont think NI will ever have independence..The Catholics dont want English rule but in they got it then the prodestants will be unhappy..
It would be great if they did though!!
Why isnt Kosovo independent?? I thought some countries recognized it?

yes but it is illegal because for kosovo to be independant there are some rules from the eu. i don't want to say because i might be wrong but they just decided that they are independant and didn't ask anyone so they are breaking a few laws

Oh...its kinda confusing isnt it? I mean..i think they were always part of Serbia right? Its not like countries that used to be independent then lost it and now have it again you know..

I heard that they were mainly Muslims that lived there and they wanted to be seperate

I think its unfair that NI, Scot & Wales are 'opressed' by England - Scotland really wants independence and an independent party is in power there but in Wales the independent party is in alliance with english govt. party (Labour)

as for Kosovo it can be independent but ONLY if every country in EU and UN supports it - Russia, Serbia and China are major opposers

Wales has its own govt (The Welsh Assembly) like NI & Scot BUT they are NOT independent governments - ultimately the English Parliament has control. England could get rid of Scot & Welsh govts if it wanted to

but then there would be a big protest and it wouldn't be a popular decision. i don't think it would be in england's interests to do that =(

i don't think they will go independant because they have control over all of the united kingdom and it brings them money so it wouldn't be in their interests
