Cool!! I've made Plof and Borscht' million times, they are simple to cook, but Chak-Chak I'll make on the weekend :)

Here comes the recipe of THE russian cake! It's called Napoleon, because the russians defeated Napoleon and to remember the story forever they gave this name to the cake, it's also called Napoleon because "na"= "on", "pol"="floor"

Napoleon (I)

Ingredients:

For the dough:

4.5 cups of flour
400g butter
1/2 cup of water
1/2 little sppon of salt

For the cream:

2 Yolks
1.5 cups of sugar
2/3 cups of flour
1l milk
Vanilla
100g butter

For decoration:

Powdered sugar

How to cook:

You mix the flour with the very very cold butter to get butter/flour crumbs. This masse you mix with the salted water. The dough which you have now, you divide into 7 pieces, you cover it with a cloth and put it into the fridge for 2 hours.
After 2 hours in the fridge you take the dough and roll it out into round pieces which are 3-4mm thick.
You bake six of them so that they get a light-pink colour, the seventh has to get very brown and crunchy. After baking you let them to cool down.
When the slices are cold you put cream on one after another slice (Use just the six slices!!)
On the last slice on the top you also put cream, and then you put crumbs onto it which you made of the seventh brown slice. Then you put some of the powdered sugar onto the top. The last part of preparing is easy, you put the cake over night (or 5-6 hours) into the fridge wink

How to make the cream:

You mix the yolks with the sugar and the flour, you add the milk and the vanilla, you stir it with a spoon (without interruption!!).
You cook it on a little heat, when it gets thickly you stop the cooking. Then you add the butter, mix it up and let it cool down again. Then you put it onto the slices

This cake is better to prepare in the evening, so you can eat it the next day

Good appetite!!awwaww

200g Onion

200g salted pickles

2 Eggs

200g Sausage

200g Mayonaise

Salt, Pepper

How to cook:

You have to cook the potatoes, the eggs and the peas with the carrots (when you take the peas and carrots from a bought jar you don't have to). When this all is cooked you cut it into little squares. Also you cut the other ingredients into squares. You mix everything and add then the mayonaise. The salad is ready! biggrin
